I just got a copy of MAME32 from a buddy - pretty sure it is the most recent version... Using Win2k, full screen or not, with MMX disabled or not, makes the processor (Athlon 1.33) run at 100% during each and every game... I find it hard to believe that this is normal as I have seen the guy at work on our crappy, secondary PC's with Pentium 100's and 2MB video cards and 32 or 64 MB of RAM...
And here I sit with a 1.33 AMD, 512MB DDR, GeForce3, etc and have this thing sweatin'!!
Do you guys have any suggestions or ideas or solutions for this??
I'm definitely impressed with the whole system and idea of being able to play games from our childhood, I just wish it'd be a bit nicer on system resources so they wouldn't get so choppy sometimes...
