Any major differences between XM and Sirius ?

Looking into getting satellite radio. Not sure which service is better/ offers more for the money. I did notice that XM has MyFi2Go, and Sirius has no type of personal/portable radio.
The wife likes talk radio....namely Howard Stern, who is on Sirius. BUt that alone is not enough for me to decide.

One difference is that I have XM installed in my cars. Awesome product.

Biggest difference is in sports...Sirius has more of the mainstream sports, while XM has NASCAR and the college stuff. Otherwise they're both priced similar, and have similar programming.

Sirius has a portable coming out before christmas, but it doesn't get live reception outside of a dock. It can record 50 hours of Sirius content, or you can put MP3s on it. The real difference between the two is in sports offerings, where Sirius has the NFL, NBA, NHL (until next season), and football and basketball from about 25 college teams. They'll also have NASCAR in 2007.

XM has the MLB, the NHL, and college sports from the PAC-10 and ACC. They have Nascar until 2007, when it moves to Sirius.

Doesn't one of them have a portable coming that will allow you to turn the download content into mp3? Is this it?

Sirius uses more compression, especially on the talk stations. It is very audible, even going down the highway.

I just got Sirius today and I have had XM for 4 months (I go it for free with activation and 3 months free).

XM has books on audio and old time programming channels I like, but Overall I like Sirius programming better.

also Sirius has a $500 life time of reciever subscription (ends in a few months). It can be changed 3 times for a $75 fee.
