i have a few files and need help
.dmg
.toast
.sit

I have a PC with a dvd burner. Im trying to send these to a friend that has Mac (osx). How do i do this?
i think:
.sit = zip
.toast = iso
.dmg exe.

SO, can i send him a dvd that has all files and - the dmg he just installs, the toats he will burn himself and the .sit's he can unzip and burn or install?
is this the way it works, i know nothing of Macs, i want one but they are TOO expensive and it is hard to find Freeware.

.dmg is an image, like a .bin or .img file. I'm not sure about the others.

Just burn the files to a data cd (dvd, whatever), his computer will know what to do with them.

A .dmg file is a disk image. Under OSX (or even OS9, I believe), clicking it will open a program called Disk Copy, which will then allow you to mount the image, or burn it (in OSX). The .sit file is an archive compressed with Stuffit, and the application Stuffit Expander will open it.

Burn it all as a data cd and send it...OSX will be able to figure out the rest from there.
