Any Mac users having trouble with Comcast?

My sister is a Mac user and has Comcast at her apartment. With their service, she is unable to:

- stream music thru iTunes, or browse the store
- use Entourage for email
- register her Palm sync software

Comcast told her that several other Mac users in her area (Chicago) have the same issues and they are not sure why. Any thoughts?

Has she tried using a different DNS server?

Wish I'd thought of that earlier. I'll try giving her a call now.

I dunno about Comcast, but with our local cable co (Brighthouse Networks), their DNS server is on the fritz at least once a month...

Last time it happened 15 minutes before the Apple keynote at Macworld

I have, although it has nothing to do with my mac and more because comcast blows.

i've got comcast in atlanta, never had any problems with my mac.
