Any Lotus Elise sightings yet?

Saw my first one this weekend here in Santa Barbara, CA. Simply stunning. Oh and a nice grey Ferrari this morning on the 101.

I've seen two of them near where I live. A red one a couple weeks ago turned onto a street near my house and last week on my way to work I saw a black one. I got a chance to drive near the red one for a while and it looked like a very bumpy ride but that thing takes corners like it's on rails.

I've seen one at a trendy dallas restaurant, one driving around the burbs, and get this, one sitting on a used Chevrolet car lot. I have pictures of the one on the used car lot. I couldn't help but wonder what they had traded a brand new Elise for.

I have seen two of them on the Merritt Parkway. I just looked and there is a Lotus dealership in Greenwich.

Most likely traded in on a new C6 or a Z06 C5.

After all living with a car than can brusie your kidneys and no top is fun for a while but its no 1st car, or even 2nd car.

These cars are street legal track cars but should remain on the track if you ever expect to get more than 40% of their use.


Saw one in Rivermark Plaza near Sun Micro a few months back in Santa Clara. Cool and all but not $52K cool!

saw one cruising about in georgia (winward parkway yo). even better a couple showed up with a lotus seven thursday night. nice car. thought the wife was kidding when she said she was out cruising in the lotus.

i saw one about a year ago with dealer plates in Ann Arbor Mi. It was highlighter yellow
