Any Los Angeles people know why Wilshire is shut down near Westwood?

it took my about 50 minutes to get to campus instead of the normal 20...by that time i was 30 min late for class, so i turned around and came home

I checked the news reports and apparently someone found a "suspicious package" nearby. It seems like Wilshire will be shut down for some time.

Edit: I think the bomb squad is on scene.

Would you want to be driving through the block when the bomb goes off ? Of course they're going to shut the entire block down for thru traffic.

it didnt go that far...it was from gayley to like 2 intersections on the other side of westwood...

traffic was backed up all the way to the santa monica exit of the north 405
