any logitech harmony 1 owners here?

I had one, then ended up selling it because I really didn't use it that much.

I ended up buying a Logitech Revue, though, and I do use that keyboard for TV, receiver, and cable box. It was fairly cheap ($99 at BestBuy and elsewhere right now) plus its great for internet browsing with Chrome on my TV. Hopefully the next update makes it more useful with Android apps on the way.

I have/used one, but then I got a Sony TV which interfaces seamlessly via HDMI-CEC with my PS3 and Receiver, so I just control it all with the 1 TV remote now.

It was really useful when it didn't work so seamlessly though.

Harmony One is awesome. Ended my search for a universal remote. Can't picture using anything else.

Battery life sucks, not worth it. The programming software is pretty crappy too.

Fortunately the remote that comes with the Dish Network 722 receiver is a learning remote and pretty decent. I switched to that.

I went from a 550 to a One. The One is much sleeker and the hard buttons feel better, but I think the touchscreen is awkward and the IR signal is too weak. I have to point it at a certain angle for my 360 to recognize it, whereas with the 550 I could point it anywhere in the room. The battery life is pretty awful too. I had better luck with eneloop rechargables in my 550.

You guys that have bad battery life forgetting to charge it or something? I have had it for 2 years and not once has the battery died. Plus it is used near 24/7 since I work nights, my wife works days, so TV almost always on.

Put your charger near where you sit, throw it in there everyday. Problem solved.

I have a One model and love it. The wife would be pissed if I didn't setup everything using just the Harmony One remote. Also have a cheapie (whatever the $35 model is) one for the bedroom which is not very great, but works fine.

I'll say this, I really liked the remote from the pictures and reading the features, but once I actually got it I just couldn't get use to the touchscreen. I rely a lot on the programable buttons and it was just too sensitive for my tastes, plus I discovered I needed some kind of button to rest my thumb on before pushing it. Other little ergonomic things I couldn't get use to. Still a great remote just wasn't for me.

It would be my remote of choice if I replaced my harmony 880. I really like the general methodology of harmony remotes. That said, the 880 and 890 have notorious issues with button responsiveness of the silver ring over time. There are videos/articles online showing how to fix them but I would steer clear of those. The Harmony One doesn't seem to have the same style buttons so it is probably ok.

I upgraded from an 880 to the One because after four years the 880's most-used buttons required a hammerific effort to respond. Ugh...

I had three 659's that had the same button burn out: 30-second skip (on my old ReplayTV's).
