Im currently having problems getting a FTP up and running. Its a fresh CentOS install with virtuzzo with the Webmin control panel. (not really noob friendly really) Or If anyone trustworthy on here would setup everything up for a 1 time fee.

How would i setup a ftp account? Currently in the webmin menu theres a button called, "proftpd server" and other called "wu-ftp server". They both are installed, but i get this error when i click on them "The ProFTPD server /usr/sbin/proftpd could not be found on your system. Maybe it is not installed, or your module configuration is incorrect."

I was under the impression that RHEL, and so CenOS, came with vsftpd. Are you sure proftpd is installed? I can't imagine why RH or the CentOS people would move the binary from /usr/sbin.

i checked the file system and theres no config file for any of the FTP programs.

:/ Im pretty lost. So theres no FTP program installed on the VPS. How would i setup something that enables me to use cuteftp or ws_ftp.

Install the vsftpd from the discs, it comes with RHEL so it should come with CentOS.

I hired someone from Webhostingtalk to setup my VPS. Too much work for a noob and very unsafe having a live site online with a fresh box.
