Hello guys ! :)
I was wondering if there were any guides describing the step-by-step installations of Windows 7. Mostly I'm interested in the order in which I should install all the drivers for motherboard like the chipset and network and such, as well as when to install video and audio ones.
A couple of years ago I used a guide from Mr. Stev-O from abxzone.com that showed in great details the order in which to install WinXP, so I guess something like that for Win7 would be greately appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
With best regards

P.S. I've looked through a lot of articles dealing with Win7, but most of them either talk about the differences b/w Win7 and Vista or talk about how to upgrade/do the initial installation of Win7.
So, if you have/know any good links, please post them.

Unless you have some esoteric hardware, Windows 7 will probably install all the drivers for it automatically. Then you can go over the default video drivers if you have newer drivers that you want to use.

Win 7 was released recently, so most of Chipset and peripheral drivers are included.

Unlike Win XP. Vista and Win 7 copy most of the DVD and its data bases to the hard drive during the installation. Thus the whole install experience is better than Win XP.

Just install the OS and if something needs new drivers get the drivers and update them.

Thanks a bunch guys for your help.
You see the problem here is that when I install windows 7, it does not install drivers for my motherboard's chipset (Asus P7P55D PRO). It just uses some generic ones, I guess, but not sure though :(
So, I was wondering if I should install drivers for mobo chipset first, then network and d/l all updates for OS, and after that install all video and audio drivers.
Umm, I hope I'm making sense here :D

I would first update the Chipset, then the Network card.

Then Audio Video any thing else.

Then when every thing is clean and nice, download and install the regular Microsoft Updates.
