Yea, Dug! I just happen to have one. A venerable III C with Summitar F/2 lens, complete with manual. It was my dad's camera, and when he died in 1992 it came to be in my collection.
Dad bought it in 1946 in San Jose, Costa Rica. That was good for me because when I went off to the USA for school, he gave me his Kodak 35 rangefinder camera, and I used it for about 10 years.
Anyway, I have shot a few pics with it. It is not any easy camera to use because film is not all that easy to load. It takes a bit of trimming and a steady hand. It is not really a rare model. It is well made and nice to feel. The manual may be rarer than the camera. 🙂
I almost bought a Leica digital this summer, but did not like the Olympus 4/3 sensor format.
Iv always wanted to get into 35mm shotting but when ever i have money to put into a camera I put it into my digital XTI which by the way i regret buying, I should have bought a 40d ... but then i did buy it a year ago for $650...
