Just curious. 3dfx sold their intellectual properties and core assets to NVIDIA. So this makes 3dfx still responsible for supporting their own video cards since NVIDIA did not buy out the entire 3dfx company nor their liabilities, sort of like Iomega did when they bought out syquest. So if 3dfx is not supporting their customer by replacing their video cards or offering a refund, are they still liable since they offered a lifetime warranty? My friend is trying to get a 3dfx card RMA'd but 3dfx is denying support and simply passing the buck to NVIDIA even though 3dfx is still responsible for providing support. What can my friend do about it, especially since 3dfx didn't (as far as I know) file for bankruptcy?
