Any law on this?

My campus was selling campus guides and inside they had coupons for free meals. Now the campus is refusing to honor the coupons. They claim it was a misprint. It doesn't say anywhere in the book that they have the right to refuse the coupons.

it doesn't seem right, i would try again, then ask to see the managment and tell them to reimburse you for at least the cost of the book. I'd throw a fit, but then again, i'm an a$s.

The book was $1.50. They sold it to me mentioning the coupons. I bought 4 of them thinking I was going to get lots of free meals.
The manager said there is nothing they could do and my coupon was misprinted.

They honored this coupon before, but today they told me I cannot use it.

Seems to me that the store can do whatever they want, whether they hurt customer relations that is another point, but why cry for a law about a coupon?

something I could have brought up when I would have gone to argue with them. Doesn't look like that will be the case and the coupons are going in the trash. Oh well.

Call your local Better Business Bureau. They'd know.

Exactly what I'd suggest. At least file a complaint and keep trying the coupons perhaps with different managers on.

So you can afford 3 cars but you get pissed off when you can't get a $3 meal for free?

it's not about getting them for free. it's about not getting what you were promised. I hate that crap. then I look like an ass because the stores think I'm trying to rip them off but I'm just trying to get what THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE GOING TO GIVE ME.

I say fight the fookers into giving you the free meals or giving you the money back for the books and an apology. if you let them get away with it then they'll have learned nothing
