Any laptop users actually prefer the trackpad to a mouse?

I prefer an external mouse, but I use the trackpad over the trackpoint when I don't have a mouse with me, or it doesn't make sense to use one.
 
I can use the trackpad but prefer a mouse. I don't like any wires and like to use the laptop sitting on the couch so an external mouse is usually out of the question.

thanks why i love ibm's thinkpads! whenever i am on a dell or powerbook, i plug in an external mouse.
