Any Kyle Orton/ Chicago Bears fans around?

Bears should have kept the kid in for the whole season. Instead of using Orton and the solid running game that beat the Panthers before, they had Grossman throwing on every damn play. Bears embarrassed themselves in the playoffs.

Exactly. As the Bears have continued to do over the past couple of seasons they just switch between quarterbacks (this year was pretty all Orton) until their so-called savior Grossman is healthy.

They need to just take the loss and cut Grossman. He has played, what, 7 games in 3 years?

shoot i would give ya a couple bucks for it.

That whole BS with them pulling him for Grossman (Mr. Glass) was a mistake. they should have left him in. He did get them to the playoffs.

LOL, excuse me?!?!? The Panthers beat themselves in the first matchup. We were unprepared and Delhomer was having a bad bad day. The Bears didn't have an offense in either game. The only thing they have is an outstanding D. Orton couldn't have won the playoff game, and to blame Grossman is kinda unfair to him as well.

Orton should have been given the chance. He was their leader for near the whole damn season. That's all right, he'll be playing again because Grossman will once again hurt something.

Delhomme didn't just have a bad game.. he was friggin sacked eight times. The Bears won games because of a solid running game and dominating defense. So what if Orton didn't light up the scoreboard with passing yards. He threw more yards in that game then Ben Roethlisberger did in the SuperBowl...

Not to take anything away from Orton, but Grossman put up more points on the board than Orton did earlier in the year. It was the defense that did not play like they did in the first game.

Yup. Grossman held up his side of the bargain, the D however crashed.

I didn't say the Bears didn't have an awesome D, that was obvious in both games (especially that freak of nature Urlacher). I wouldn't blame Grossman entirely for the loss, all I'm saying is that even with Orton in there, you still wouldn't have won the playoff game against us. Sure Delhomme got mugged and beaten up and beyotch slapped silly in the first game, but he went off against ya'll in the playoffs. It would have taken an extraordinary effort on the part of your O to have won and I don't think either of your QBs would have done it.

Regardless I think the Bears would be better off if they went into the offseason with open competition for the quarterback spot instead of giving Grossman the "starter unless he's injured" title again.

lets see
Orton

2005 Chicago Bears 15 15 368 190 51.6 1869 5.08 54 9 13 30/190 23 3 59.7

grossman G GS att Comp PCT Yard YPA LG TD INT T KLD 20+ 40+ rate
2005 Chicago Bears 2 1 39 20 51.3 259 6.64 54 1 2 1/9 4 1 59.7

Now Orton took them to the playoffs and what did Grossman do? he took them home for vacation. Grossman has skill. trouble is he gets hurt way to often. I give him 3 games next year before he is out.
