Any KT266A Boards Support ECC?

Hi

I have just bought 512MB of Crucial registered ECC DDR2100 in anticipation of my next upgrade. I intended to get a KT266A board and have been looking around at the few on offer but it seems ECC is just not mentioned. Does the chipset itself not support ECC or are the board manufacturers not implementing it? Should I return this memory for standard DDR?

Inconclusive then. I checked Via's website and found no mention of ECC at all. Is it supported? Are the new motherboards rushed out without full feature support perhaps? Funny how hard some things are to find out.....

Thanks anyway!

Mike

Uhm, no either. I have it and I put a stick in there and it works fine.

while it may work, does it actually support ecc mode-i.e. was there an option in the bios for ecc?
whether the memory works and whether the bios supports ecc is a separate question.

Let's put it this way.
The boards will run with ECC ram.
Although your particular board may not take advantage of the ECC capabilities, it should still run.
