I am not a console person but the wife wants a Wii mainly for the sports games.
Are there known issues (like the Xbox over heating) that I need to look for when buying used?

$200 for this seem reasonable?

Stand
2 Remotes with covers
3 Nunchucks

$200 for that package is a GREAT deal. I'm personally not aware of any major problems to look out for. The most I've heard about is disc loading issues with the drive, but it's not like it's a major problem or anything. I wouldn't worry about anything, especially if the system is only a couple months old.

Agreed. No real big deals with wii hardware. I say go for it

AFAIK, the Wii has an excellent track record for reliability. $200 is an excellent deal for all that considering it's still going for $279 in retail. They're still regularly going for $300+ on eBay. Buy it.

FYI, if you buy a new wii and wii play you will have:
wii, 2 remotes, 1 nunchuck, wii sports, wii play.

If this deal doesn't work out Amazon has a deal ending today where you buy a wii at $250 list, then get 10% one game (such as play or fit) then 10% off all accessories like an extra nunchuck. Buying new will be over $300 even with the discount though.

Just waiting for the guy to call me back. He says he doesn't want people coming to his house and knowing where he lives so he says he will bring it to mine. $200 and free delivery if he follows through.
I didn't have the heart to tell him that when I got the first email from his wife I googled her and got their address and a fictitious business statement from the local paper. Google has street view of their house.
I didn't tell him when he called me because I didn't want to scare him off. I am debating on whether to tell him or not if he shows up.

Take pictures of him leaving his house and getting into his car. That should ease his fears. :)

He showed up and I now have a wii. I didn't have the heart to tell him about knowing where he lives. I guess he sold a PS3 to a guy who kept coming back to his house to see if he had any more games for sale.

The only issues I've heard of are with the DVD drive going out (had this happen to my 1st Wii, Nintendo replaced it), and the GPU getting overheated on some when WiiConnect24 is left on.
