Any known problems with R9600 Pro and i865/i875?

Plan to purchase a Shuttle SB62G2 and a radeon 9600 pro (why can't I find any 9500 pro for sale anywhere??). I remember hearing something about radeon higher end cards having problems with the springdale/canterwood chipsets? Am I mistaken or should I go ahead and order these things?

This probably doesn't mean much, but Dell is shipping 865 and 875 machines with Radeon 9800s and 9800 Pros. I would imagine if there were known problems with this setup, Dell wouldn't be selling it.

The 9600 runs cooler and uses less power. This is good for a shuttle where you will have a small power supply and not much cooling. It is plenty fast enough for most games. I don't know of any problems with the springdale/canterwood chipsets. I've heard somewhere that 9600's and 9800's are more stable than 9500's but I can't put my finger on it right now. ( could be wrong).

You've got a good point. I think it was just the R9700 cards that didn't play well. I guess its a go for my current setup then.

It makes me mad that there's no more r9500 pro cards out there. Went to newegg and mwave. Didn't find anything. Oh well...

To be honest, I didnt even think about the 9600 non pro. I'll look into it, since the less power/ cooler aspect does seem attractive given its future home.

I think there is/was a problem with the shuttle system with radeon 9500 and the onboard audio. There might be similar problems with other video cards. Search in google..

Edit: It seems the problem is with 9500/9700 and not with 9600/9800 series.
