Any known issues using ATI graphics cards with nForce2 motherboards?

I'm about to put together new computer and I would really like go with an AthlonXP/nForce2 combo...

But I would also like to use a Radeon 9500 pro or maybe even a 9800.

Have there been any problems with using newer Radeon in concert with nForce2 mobo's?

If there are problems then I'm really going to be torn...I'm kinda leaning towards an nVIDIA card due to the better support in Linux, which I use a lot.

As an aside -- I just completed my first install of Gentoo from stage1...that was a learning experience! Not easy for me but was very fun...I strongly recommend it. A gentoo system built for your PC from scratch is very fast and contains only what you explicitly specify...but it also takes a day or two of compile time. nVIDIA support within Gentoo is very good.

Have had my Asus A7N8X DLx w/ radeon 9500 pro + 9700 pro. No issues between the two. Normal Ati driver issues still apply.

Its pretty ironic running an ATI card with a motherboard that has a Nvidia chipset.

A7n8x deluxe + Radeon made by ATI (9700 Pro) No issues

or maybe there since I've only restarted once and the monitor refresh rate goes back to 60 maybe it will happen everytime. Not big though.
