I have a new AMD K 6-2 CPU at 550 mhz I want to upgrade my Dads pc from an AMD K 6-2 at 500 mhz.
I dont know wich jumpers to reset to make the new CPU run at 550 instead of 500.
Does anyone know? The mother board is MB980. I am not sure who makes it.

hmm... it doesn't really help much since i can't tell the motherboard manufacturer or the actual model number. maybe if u have a d-cam u can take some high res pics up, so we can help point u in the right direction off those.

I have a web cam buts its old. I still am notsure what you want me to take a pic of? The mother board? Or what. On system credentials there is a MFG Number. Is that what you want?

Nope, just need you to read the emblem or printing on the case E.G. Powermate 8100 although the serial number will work also.

i wasn't able to find much with only the serial number to go on but here is the scant data NEC provided Link From what I gathered the mobo like many older jumper configed boards has the charts for all the jumper settings printed on it. just look for the small charts and carefully read the setting config. If there aren't any charts on the board anywhere, then your on your own unless you can provide the exact model number E.G. Powermate 8100.
