Any kind of accessory device to hold wallet/phone?

Will be going to New York in 2 weeks for Eric Clapton Crossroad Festival. Two days of music. A lot of standing, etc. I'm looking for some kind of device that will hold my wallet/cell phone with a lanyard-type strap attached to it allowing me to attach it to my backpack so I can use it on and off but want the added security of it being able to attach to my backpack/belt loop so I don't have to worry about misplacing it. Will on the move a lot that weekend(by foot). Just curious if any one else has anything they can comment on other than the cheap leather packs I've seen.

Since you will frequently be in close quarters with a lot of other people, I wouldn't want to have my wallet or phone just hanging out begging to be stolen.

Keep them in your pockets, or actually inside the backpack.

don't plan on having it hang out. i just want something attached to my phone(wallet i can handle but bonus if it holds both) that will attach to something else(ie. i have a side pocket on my backpack i want to be able to put the phone in there and any time i pull it out to use it it's attached to a cable/cord that is fixed to the backpack/my pants).

Probably best if you list your phone - don't want someone to recommend something for a 4" device if you have a Note 2 or something.

Not sure if it's big enough, but I use one of these as my regular wallet and am pretty happy with it. Something about having my wallet and keys attached together makes me lose them far less than I ever did when they were separate. They have bunches of other similar items too.
