Any issues running an ati card on an am2 500 series motherboard?

Was wondering if the ati products ran the same on the nvidia motherboard chipset or if its better to get an ati chipset board as well. Thanks in advance.

I would assume it's better to get a crossfire board if you're going to be using ATI video cards, however they are compatable, and if the board is 2x PCI-Express X16 (true x16), I'm pretty sure you can even do crossfire on that board.
