Any Intel 845G owners using built in video + AGP card simultaneously under Win XP?

I'd be interested in hearing about any success/failure stories. My thinking is to run the following:

some 845G motherboard
20" LCD on Geforce 3 200Ti DVI (1600x1200)
18" LCD on the Intel Extreme built in graphics as second monitor. (1280x1024)

This would be on Windows XP Professional.

As far as I know, once you throw in a AGP card the onboard graphics get disabled, because only one device can use the AGP bus at a time.

I think you're right.. May need a PCI card for the 2nd monitor

as mentioned by the others, but i am just posting so there is no doubt... you can't use an agp card and the onboard video... the chipset like all others can only have one agp device... but a pci card would do the trick...

To answer your question,

"No, there arent any Intel 845G owners using build in video + AGP card simultaneously under Win XP." :)

Integrated video uses the AGP bus, and 2 AGP devices cannot exist on the same bus.

You need a PCI card to have a duallie setup w. the integrated video. Allthough I would recommend a Dualhead capable AGP card insteadt and leave the integrated video alone. Gives you much better experience w. 2 monitors.
Furthermore I recommend ATI cards as they are quite cheap and have excellent dualmonitor support.( Thats just my opinion).
