Its certainly great to see what cutting edge graphics performance is now available but in the last 3 years I have found most of the games I play are not demanding enough on my hardware to warrant the expense.
Many of the games I have enjoyed are console ports (mass effect), or by the time I have gotton round to playing them they are getting old (stalker series and civ 4/5)
This combined with having a 1920/1200 monitor mean that unless a new generation of consoles comes out or I upgrade my LCD a 680 will be overkill for my current gaming needs.
But all the 680 news today has got me thinking about a new card, as i feel i could do with just a little more oomph in in some games (metro killed my poor 560TI) but having looked through some popular tech sites I am non the wiser to how the 680 kid brothers are going to fit into the performance/price metric or when they are planning on release.
