Any info on these monitors?

Well, my friend had an NEC fe991sb, and i absolutely loved it. Now I am looking to buy a CRT for gaming and apparently that monitor is no longer made. I have searched the hell out of google with no luck, and the NEC website seems to have absolutely nothing about it. So, I found these two and I was wondering if anyone had any input.

Samsung 990df

and..

Samsung 997DF-T/T

Thanks in advance.🙂

I'm sure AT has some good monitor reviews but I'm also a big time gamer and I play competitivly(spelling?) before I got done with my build I was fairly comvinced that I was going the CRT route but after seeing my friend gaming on a LCD and how good it could look I changed my mind. LCD's as long as they have low response time I would say 8ms or less you will see not artifacting or any other problems really. LCD save you space and you also get more screen for your money (17 inch LCD = 19 CRT)

That's true, but I have yet to see an LCD reproduce colors that come close to matching a CRT. ANother things that bugs me is that the blacks are not black and the viewing angles suck.

Well maybe some of the colors aren't as crisp but I haven't really noticed a difference but when you are gaming what angles are you having issue with becuase usually while gaming you plant yourself right infront of your monitor

I dont know if I want to go bigger than 19". Higher rez is nice, but 1280 is fine for me and easier on the vid card.
