I was just wondering if there was any news out there about Nvidia's new cards that might compete in the $400 range. Thanks!

It'll be faster than the 770, probably a bit slower than the 780ti.

Source: 15 years of following these launches.

Seriously though, there isn't any good information out there on this stuff.

The only cards that have been listed which is Maxwell is:

GTX 750 Ti: 137GBP ($223)
GTX 750: 117GBP ($119)

Both are GM107

I'd expect actual availability early 2015. I think 2014 is dead for GPU releases.

The mobile cards are rumored to be coming. I'll be surprised to see anything desktop before fall.

i dont know, but i do know that some parts will be defective so that DP wont be used. i also know that IP is the reason for high prices and lousy drivers.

that is, any company that gets as big as nvidia gets perpetuated by IP and/or some other central(ist) mandate. it is destructive because it retards the growth in innovation.

You will not be derailing this thread with this nonsense. Thread crapping is not permitted here, period.
