In AT's April 2007 Buyers' Guide's comments page, the author, Jarred Walton referred to a Nvidia IGP update. Anyone hear anything about it -- such as specs or date of release?

The Inq article actually references an OC Workbench article from March where they're playing with a working pre-production board. If it's not finished by now, that's something of a shock - maybe they had to do another unexpected spin of the silicon?

I'm looking forward to this board - looks like it'll be an excellent HTPC platform if it has the same PureVideo HD that the 8600 series has.

hmm, I am interested too. I am currently updating my MCE box for lower power consumption/feature additions, and this would be a great solution. Add in HD-DVD drive + hardware VC1 decode would be great!

There's also some stuff going around about mcp73 and mcp79 - both of these will apparently be DX10 IGPs, plus the usual improvements. Not coming out until late-2007/early-2008, though.

Then again, I'm not sure I'd even bother waiting if I needed to do a new build soon - if you find out you need DX10 later, I'm sure there will be some appropriately budget-priced DX10 cards available by that point.
