Any inexpensive power supplies work with a 8800gts?

Was going to make a move to the x1950xt for $250, but the 8800gts is now $399 and cheaper. Problem is my 2 year old Thermaltake 480w is only rated for 18A off the one and only 12v rail. I've seen the highly rated power supplies starting at $130 and up. Is it necessary to go there, or is there a steal out there to be had? Thx.

should handle a 8800gts easily...

the Seasonic S12 500watt or the 550watt energy should also do fine

as with any pc build, i wouldn't skimp on the power supply, so i dunno if you should look for the absolute cheapest u can get

You could get by with somthing like an Antec Smartpower 500 watt model which is available now at Newegg for $69 w/$10 MIR as a bare minimum, however if you can afford it, the Seasonic S-12 500 watt listed above in particular is a great choice & should prove much more reliable for $119.

The Antec NeoHE 550W can be had for $84.99 after MIR. It's a great and reliable PSU since they are rebranded Seasonic OEMs.
