Any indication that ATX will be replaced?

Maetryx here,

I am looking into buying a very expensive PC Power and Cooling Silencer ATX power supply. But then I wondered how much longer ATX would be the standard. I don't want to buy a power supply that costs over $150 just to find out that ATX is soon to be replaced by something better.

So has anyone heard if ATX is going to be replaced?

if it will be... it won't be anytime soon. i wouldn't worry about it too much.

I hope you are correct. Clearly nothing TOO radical can change, since we must have power, cooling, room for devices that play CD and other CD-sized media, i/o interfaces for cabling, etc.

Just thought I'd float the question in case (no pun intended) someone had some inside information.
