Picked up 2 1.2GHz/266MHz TBirds, one for a friend, one for myself. We both are running ABit KT7-RAID's. Neither one of use can get to 1.3GHz! The system will boot to DOS at 1.3GHz, but Win98se locks-up at the desktop, before it finishes loading.
As I'm typing this I'm running Prime95 torture and my temp is 44C(111F). I'm using VIA HWM to monitor my system. I've taken the Vcore up to 1.85 in the bios (reports as 1.95 in VIA HWM), no go. My suspicion is the power supply (besides the motherboard/CPU that's the only other thing in common), but my system is the more power hungry of the 2 and it's running fine at 1.2GHz.
The kicker is these cpu's are supposed to be good for overclocking, AXIA0116BPMW/Y6253240396 is mine, my friends is simular. So I've decided to just run the Vcore down to 1.625V/1.72V setpoint/reported, to keep things cool, until I can find an answer
