Any ideas?

Yes... don't double-post.

All the parts look nice but we have no idea what you are using them for or even your budget. Start by answering THESE QUESTIONS and let's see if we can get a better idea of what you are looking for. :)

Sorry. Gaming, around $2000, name brand, no overclocking, next 2 weeks. HD will be Samsung 850 Pro.
Just checking if someone sees a better option for any of the parts.

Well, first off, for a gaming machine, you are wasting money on the i7 processor and the X99 mobo; you could very easily get by with an i5 and a lower-end motherboard (you specified no OC = no reason for Z97, etc board.)

You are not OC'ing, so no reason for the water cooler, the stock Intel fan will work or spend $30 on a CoolerMaster 212 EVO.

A set of 1600 DDR3 RAM to go with your 9-series board will work fine as well (not the X99.)

With no water cooler, no reason to spec a 750w PSU.

...there is just a lot of waste in that build, given your stated purposes.

I agree. For gaming, especially if you are not going to overclock, go with a 4690k or 4790k, a cheaper motherboard, and DDR 3 ram, which is cheaper as well. The 5820k is a great processor, but the platform is expensive, and you have to be willing to overclock to get the most out of it. You might also re-examine your choice of gpu. I like the nVidia user experience, but I don't think the 2gb 770 is a very good value. I would look at something with more video ram for a new build. I am not sure what model amd card would best suit your needs, but in general they tend to be a better value right now. You could also put some of the money saved on the CPU/mb/ram toward the video card and get something like a 290 or 290x.

^ smoking build by Ken. A pair of R9 290's will certainly crank out 1440 eye candy.

I'd go single GTX 780ti for $530.- (coupon code EMCPAPH26 and rebate)
Also would get a monoprice or Qnix monitor for around $400.-
This leaves over $200.- in the budget for a nice 512gb SSD

I was under the impression he has a Samsung 850 Pro already. Also, if you prefer Nvidia, I suggest waiting until October to see what new video cards they may come out with.
