It seems to be a growing problem on my site.

So far I've:
1. disabled HTML in comments
2. put rel="nofollow" tags on any links.
3. banned any ips that comment spam.

Still it doesn't deter the spammers. One guy has been spamming my site 10 times a day with varies ips so I can't ban him. It's most likely automated software. He links his site www. tigerspice. com in conjunction w/ poker. I'm not going to link it, only gives him what he wants.

I doubt the whois info is correct but I signed him up for as much spam email as possible. Also wrote him an email saying stop as$hole.

Why not just parse every new comment submitted and drop any that has his site name in it?

Hrm.. I could but I'd much rather have it anonymous so people can easily post comments. I guess that's why I'm getting spammed lol :(

disallow http link in your blog.
of course that would affect legit commenters, but if a legit commenter really need to post a link he could find a way around it.
