Any ideas on what might cause this?

Monitor shows "no signal" ...as though the pc is turned off but the box was still on. Rebooted...all was fine. A few minutes later it went back to the "no signal". Rebooted and the mouse froze. Rebooted again and all was fine. Again a few minutes later it did it again, and Ctrl-Alt-Del brought the screen back. So far so good....but does anyone have an idea as to what might cause this?

Turn off your power saving features in Windows and see if it continues. Does it always happen at a certain interval, say 15 minutes of inactivity?

Turned those off before leaving for work this morning. I'll see what happens when I get home. I'm paranoid that it might be the mobo because I don't have time to replace it right now.

Try reseating your video card before buying a new motherboard.

Of course if it's onboard video then disregard above
