DVi in a new type of interface for mainly LCD monitors, it sends a digital signal to teh monitor instre of a RGB analog signal that CRt monitors use. sicdn lcd's are ditigal in their operation, and teh videpocard works in digitazl, sending a digital signal results in a cleaner image on lcd monitors. otherwise teh image is convedrted to analog on teh v/c, send in analog, then once it gets to an lcd monitor, is converted back to digital, resulting in loss of image clarity. I have a ATi AIW radeon AGP with DVi and it can be had thesedays for 250 or so. the only other DVI cards i knwo of are teh prophet II ultra cards, that are 450 or so, teh ATI Radeon VE duel head cards, and a few of teh GForce 2 MW cards.
