It comes up and says please insert w98 se cd, after that it comes up saying could not find f:\command.com.

I search the cd and there is no command.com.

I go over to the new pc i am building that is currently sharing the operating system and insert the diskette and make a startup disk, no problem.

I went to the problem child and ran sfc and scan disk and still get the same thing. Anyone have any ideas???
 
Not too sure if this helps but it might work. Copy command.com from the other machine to the root directory of the problem child.
