Any idea why this is happening?

I've had an MX1000 mouse for a while now, over a year and a half. When its installed without any Logitech drivers, the scroll wheel would randomly jump to the end of a page or document while I was reading it. This was very annoying, needless to say.

However, it always went away after I installed the Logitech Setpoint drivers. Well, after I installed my new motherboard and CPU, I reformated windows. I forget to reinstall the Setpoint drivers until it started jumping randomly in webpages. So I headed over to Logitech's website to grab the latest Setpoint, which was version 3.30. Before the reformat, I had version 2.60 installed.

I installed 3.30, and deleted my saved copy of 2.60. However, now the scrolls wheel randomly jumps around in webpages, even with the latest Setpoint installed. I've tried both letting Setpoint handle the mouse settings, and letting Windows handle it, but under both, it does the same thing.

Any ideas?
