Any idea why backing up my cd's takes so freaking long?

Using Nero to copy.... Can't do on the fly since i only have one drive....

The drive is a Sony 500a DVD Burner, takes almost 10-15 minutes to grab the image from the cd, not even getting to the "actual" burning yet... Everything is set on max speed...

Any ideas?
 
Just checked the specs online, for cd speeds it shows "24X CD-R Recording (Max.) 10 X CD-RW Recording (Max.) 32X Reading (Max.)"
 
Nevermind, somehow nero wont go above 4x read on cd's.... Used Recordnow and it worked fine 😀
 
make sure your drives are set in DMA mode and not PIO mode

what you just described happened to me before and the IDE mode was the issue
