How about the 46xx and below? Are they already EOL even though the Redwood and Cedar haven't launched yet?

A while ago, when supply channels are cleared, they are gone.
I think that sux. Granted the 5 series is out and supplies are low but 4870's are great cards. I have two 1gig varieties in cf. An Asus DK and a Sapphhire.
Not two minutes ago there was a knock at the door and ups just dropped off my Asus 4870x2 that I got a great deal on equpped with a hot Asian chick showin' a little booty on the case. Man this thing weighs a ton.
I was going to sell both the 4870's to pay for it but I think I'll keep the DK and use it to replace my evga 7900GT sli setup in my Opty rig, sell the Sapphire and one of the GT's instead.

It's already EOL, once shelves are cleaned there won't be any no more new, only used ones. Currently the only 48xx-series in mfr is the 4890 and only for the next couple of months - it will be discontinued in Q1 2010.
