Long story short. I purchased a new vehicle approx 6 months ago. and I started to these spots on the paint.

Any ideas?

Looks like rust to me.

That or a reflection of an alien invading spacecraft.

That is what I thought... but I only have 7,000 km on the car. These pits are everywhere, mostly on the hood. There needs to be a cause? I do not want the dealer to try and tell me its stone chips or something so he isnt responsible for it.

looks like rust and exfoliation to me. hard to tell though.
