FX cards can't play dx9 games without special rendering paths. we've seen this before and it seems to be a reality.
did nvidia buck conventional dx9 compatibility in an effort to push trademark coding paths for use in 'meant to be played games'?
just weird, because fx owners are always going to have to wonder if developers could emulate the original dx9 paths with special nvidia paths; basically at the mercy of money, time, and skill of developers that aren't getting nvidia's full attention.
