Let's assume I want to build Core 2 Duo system and I am aiming at 3GHz.
This system is going to run unattended 24 x 7 with dualcore CPU 100% loaded at all time, so onboard video or old PCI video is what it is going to have.
I want to invest most of the money in the CPU and save on the mobo and RAM. So, if I go with something like this:
E6600 CPU (x9 multi), 333MHz FSB, DDR2-667
9 x 333MHz = 3GHz
then I only need 333MHz FSB in order to have 3GHz. And finally here comes the question:
*** Is it possible to have 333MHz FSB with 945P (or even 945G) boards? ***
Anyone has ever tried to OC those 945 boards? With E6600?
