Has any info leaked on what the expected prices might be for these new Nvidia cards?

My guess is $500-$600 to start with. If all the hype is true then they'll be the fastest cards around. Fastest means most expensive when it comes to video cards. Also depends on how many models they release at launch. If its just one high end card to start then definetly $500+.

That sounds about right...so street price will be 100 to 200 less so about 450 to 500 for the GTX.

I'm going to be a GTS customer, but not till it gets closer to 400.00.

Keep dreaming. Those prices will be atleast $100-$150 MORE (Than MSRP) expensive from launch until atleast a month after.

That?s what I said about newegg. I just hope it will not be a 7800GTX 512 launch.

I'll be picking the GTS up as soon as I can find it for <400.

Where is ATI's rumors for their next gen? I'm really hyped for the G80, but I'd like to start seeing some info about ATI's next offering.

I'm expecting a shortage. Somewhere on B3D the number of PCBs that NV ordered was quoted, and IIRC it wasn't huge.

Doesn't NV just make the first batch (reference cards basically), and the board partners make the rest themselves? I thought that NV just designed the gpu, TSMC manufactured it, and the partners made most of the actual boards themselves. Ultimately, I would assume the a lot of the boards end up coming out of the same plant, but I'm not sure if the number of PCB's that NV orders is indicative of how many cards there will be.

LOL right... maybe 6 months after launch.

They hype for 8800 gtx is phenomenal. $800 is a good estimate if you want it before christmas.

I'd think it'll take some time for AIB partners to manufacture the cards thmeselves, due to the complexity of the card. I believe 100% of 7950GX2 cards are 'built by NV'. But who knows? The guy who cited the number could be a total scam. ;)

Yeah I remember people thought they would be getting the MSRP for Core 2 Duos when they were released. Oh how wrong they were. :p

We'll find out in about 3 weeks. I sure as hell won't be paying anywhere near $800 if that's the case. This time I plan to change GPUs every 6 months and sell before a refresh or faster competition.
