Ive got an old 90 4dr LX Accord with 100k miles and a manual trans. Lately when Ive been idleing at stop lights and what not, after the engine warms up a bit, the rpm will sink down to 2-400 rpm rather than the normal idle range of approx 800 rpm. The car starts to shake pretty bad and I find myself having to keep my foot on the gas to keep it around 1100 rpm. My dad thinks its missing a cylinder but doesnt know how much itll cost to fix. I dont really have too much knowledge about cars. Any ideas?

If a cylinder was misfiring, it would be VERY noticeable (noise, lack of power) when you stepped on the gas. It sounds like your idle needs adjusting, thats all. :)

It just needs a tuneup, dude. lol.. Make sure all your vacuum hoses are plugged in, and all the valves and stuff that go along with the vacuum system are functioning.

sounds like you just need a tuneup. If you didnt take the car in the the 90K servicing I would absolutely recommend that as well to replace the timing belt. If that goes on a honda then...say "buh-bye" to your car. :)

It could very well be a vacuum leak. That would definitely do that, but they are a real bitch to find sometimes

Just try taking it in for a tune up. If that doesn't fix it, then try taking it into a specialist. I doubt it's that expensive. But if something major is broken, then yes, I can get very pricey. Just shop around, don't just stick with the first person you visit.
