Any idea about putting a USB port thru the front of the box...

I got a customer who request a USB port on the front of his box. Any ideas, folks! Could I get a PCI card was a long cable that can
"stretch" across to the front of his computer. TIA!

Does the motherboard in his system have a connector on the front edge for USB? You should be able to get a USB header that will connect and mount to the front of the case. Maybe you'll have to use a Dremel and cut a hole for it, but it can be done.

Check this out...Thats probobly your best bet. He's going to have to pay premium tho because it isnt standard on custom-built pc's...

Oh yeah, its called "USB Drive Hub"

Try here They have a front USB fixture that will fit into a 5.25" drive bay. I think it runs about $35.00.

They had something like that "USB Drive Hub" at Fry's Electronics for about $15 I think.
The only problem with it is that it connects to one of your existing USB ports so you end up with a little bit of cable looping through an unused cut-out in your back pannel. This might be the best option if his motherboard does not have a built in internal USB jack.
