I'm planning to get this laptop/tablet combo to replace both my Samsung Series 9 Laptop and my Google Nexus 10 Tablet ..

Any idea when is it releasing ?

A quick google search says many UK sites show a pre-order price of £1299 with a release date of August 28.

Also, 3200x1800 in a 13" screen? Jesus tap-dancing christ! We're going to see 4k laptops/tablets pretty soon from the looks of it.

IF (and that's a big if) Windows 8.1 (and every piece of software on it) works properly then it's really just going to be a day-to-day effective res of 1600*900, or at least that's how it should be.

Though this sort of thing is the kick in the pants that needed to get the software to properly support this sort of resolution.
