I need help from someone whose have experience with PII dual xeon.
Here is my sys.
Mainboard supermicro S2DGE
cpu intell PII 400 (2)
diamond viper V770 ultra
blaster live mp3 5.1
IBM 7200rpm 13.5gd
sony DVD 220
1stick 128mb
2 stick 64mb (128mb)
total 256mb unbuffer non ecc
dual boot win ME and win2K

for win ME there is no problem but hard time to figure out with Win2K.
after I get online or search for awhile (less than 15") then my comp. restart. Or when I click on one icon so many times (cause it's not fast) then restart.
Specially, I'm using dialpad.com website after I login then restart for everytime using this web. If I use this web on winME then it's not restarting but frozen (not restart).
Please help me to figure out why! not enought memory for dual? or video card not good?
or?????????

I don't seem like it's running faster than regular one. It should be powerful for this sys isn't it?
What should I do, setup wrong??????
Help!!!!

How powerful is your PSU? A weak PSU may not be able to hold a steady electrical current within limits of safe stable system operation.

well, you'll need SMP capable software in addition to SMP aware OS to take advantage of the dual Xeon setup. WinME isnot SMP aware.. Win2K is.

I'll second that WinME is not utilizing both processors.

Sounds like hardware problem. try stripping your pc down to a minimal configuration. try only one of your three DIMMs, then with one of the others. if you have a terminator card, try replacing your 2nd cpu with it. try a different/larger power supply if one avail. the cpus aren't overheating are they? (I'm sure that board will let you monitor temperatures) but it doesn't sound like you're really pushing them to their extreme before they fsck up

I already have 300watts power supply. Is it good or buy stronger one?
Which one is more power full?

Since you have trouble in win2k but not WinME I believe your problem might be a driver issue. Win2k dosn't have very good driver support... might want to check it for issues with your hardware.
