Any HVAC(heatpump in particular) experts around?

I have a few connections and I am trying to decide if I am making the right choice here.

I need to replace split system compressor and air handler. My house is around 1900sqft.

Here are the units I have gotten priced out from friends in the business:

Heil Unit
3.5 Ton
13.5 SEER
Cost $2800


Goodman Unit
3.5 Ton
13 SEER
Cost $2300


Tempstar Unit
3.5 Ton
13 SEER
Cost $1700

The biggest difference is that the Heil has a 10 year warranty.

The other issue. One of the guys that will install wants to replace the copper tubing from the inside air handler and the compressor which will require him to route it out the outside wall and down it. Then he will have to cover it with some sort of thing. I have a concrete slab house with vinyl siding

His install price is $1200

The other guy said he could replace just the unit and reuse the copper tubing.

His price was $1000

Is it really needed to replace the copper tubing? The house is about 15 years old.

Only if the new unit requires a different size lineset or the old one had a compressor burn out

The compressor did go bad but the HVAC guy that looked at it, smelled the freon and said, the compressor did not mess it up.
