My 4 year old Mag Innovision DX1795 17" is on it's last leg and now I'm looking for a hot deal on a monitor that I can expect at least the same quality from my old Mag Innovision. The DX195 had .26 dot pitch and 1280x1024@60HZ... although I'm not sure if it was even as good as say .27 dot pitch monitors are today due to manufacturing improvements. I would like to spend under $200 if at all possible.

Hi kl899,

Welcome to AnandTech. I know you are new to our forums, so I wanted to let you know that in Hot Deals, new threads are for posting the deals you have found. Requests for hot deals should be posted in the Moderator sponsored ~~~~ IWANNA ~~~~ thread.

I hope you find the deals you want. While you are at it, you might want to visit some of our sixteen other forums devoted to computers. You can find out how to get the most from your machine or just how to solve some problem you have been having.

Thank you,

Near $200, this would be a good choice. it's $237.95 with free shipping, i believe. Oh, it's from onvia and it comes with $30 MIR. I believe there are other deals where you can purchase a 17' for around $160... you'd have to search for that.

If you're looking at 19', either this KDS or this Samsung with with $30 rebate would be pretty good.

oh, also, be ready for some flaming :p

I think I'll go for that Synchmaster 753df at onvia.com.... one issue before I buy though... no mention of any warranty with it, but is there one?

I saw CTX 19 for around $260 - $20 rebate at Sam's Club yesterday. 17" Trinitron for around the same price there too.
