I lulz @ mages that use Fireblast and Pyroblast. Only time I use the former is when I know I can't get anything else off and the latter when I want to delay my casting for aggro reasons. Other than that, scorch to 5x Fire Vuln and spam Fireball while keeping Fire Vuln up.

I'm currently leveling a druid and hunter alt. talk about fun to play...and easy. Druids have 0 downtime, shaman's have to drink/heal themselves pretty often. At least when I played...we didn't have the niceities that shaman have now in enhancement. Same with hunter, you may drink a mana pot every now and then...doesn't really matter, but yo can take things on so easily. And you're OP for pvp so it makes it fun.

I only had to drink on my hunter when I was in some crazy fights. Normally, I had no problem keeping my mana up when I just auto-shot'd most of the time. Although that takes forever in latter BC times so since I have Aspect of the Viper, I tend to use that. Although, I think I need to start getting water from my mage or something and use Aspect of the Hawk more often during <edit>instance</edit> PVE.

Leveling my hunter was crazy easy. I could grind mobs 3 levels above me with no mana and half health. Mind pet as a HoT is seriously op for grinding purposes. Some things I've done as a hunter: Killed a level 20 elite (named troll in ghostlands) at 17. Killed named yeti (37) in alterac mountains at 31. Killed Deepstrider giant (39 elite) at 33 (snaring trap + kiting with ranged attacks = op)! Got to 60 post leveling changes in a little over 3 days played.

Most classes are boring up til around lvl 40. At that level, you seem to get some cool new super spells and a mount to help speed up the leveling/questing. :)

I have a bunch of 70s that I PvP with, and all I can say about the 2.4 patch notes is meh...

I can say that blizzard is going in the right direction (buffing shamans), but the MS totem, toughness buff, SR buff doesn't cut it. Who the hell wants it besides a pally? Warriors rather want a WF totem, rogues have both poisons in their weapons anyways (giving up a poison is too much), and with ret pallies, it's preference. On my 70 ret pally, I prefer WF.

As a rogue, I destroy non-resto shamans. They are by far the easiest class behind a non SL lock for a rogue. What shamans need is the ABILITY to CC and some form of mobility. When I play my warrior, the 15 second intercept makes me extremely mobile. As a rogue, I have at least 3-4 root/slow breakers. As a ret pally, I have blessing of freedom. When I PvP with my shammy, I would suggest these changes to be satisfied and up to par with every other melee class in PvP:

- Make ghost wolf remove impairing effects similar to travel form for druids
- Make shamantistic rage a BW-like ability
- Remove that stupid toughness buff and change it to reduce damage taken when your movement is impaired or when stunned by 3/6/9/12/15%.
- Make Stormstrike have a 1-2 second stunning effect, whilst increasing its cooldown.

....... and from a PVP ench shammy's POV, I would say they would be balance among the melee PvPers.

Level as a BM huntard?

I guess that would be alright.

The point of Shamanistic Rage is to help the mana issues that enhancement shamans had in PVE... the fact that it now has the damage reduction effect and cannot be dispelled is merely to give PVP people a use for it. Changing it to a Beastial Wrath-like ability would surely help in PVP and maybe a few PVE encounters, but you'd be completely destroying its original purpose. Do we really need more people complaining that something was changed because of PVP.

That could work and I don't think it'd be horribly overpowered or anything.

Increasing the cooldown only hurts PVE DPS while giving PVE shamans absolutely nothing as I don't think you'll be stunning Illidan anytime soon.
