Any HiDef VIVO Satallite video capture solutions?

I have done some research and see that there are HiDef QAM tuner cards that you can put in your PC to capture OTA HiDef QAM signals and play them back on your HDTV, but that is not what i am looking for.

I am trying to come up with a HTPC that can do the following.

1. Take the HiDef signal from my Satalite STB (like Direct TV) and be able to store it on the PC. This would be the HiDef video capture part and would need either compoant or dvi connection for video in part.

2. A second HiDef Video out port (componant or dvi) that would be able to feed a HiDef TV.

3. Then I would need some type of DD5.1 audio capture in/out. Hopefully i could use the two fiber audio ports (in/out) on my AV8 mobo, or maybe i would need a separate sound card with in/out dd5.1 capabilities

4. Then i would need some type of software to pull it all together and perform the tivo type functionality.

Has anyone come up for a soulution for this, being able to store HiDef programing from your Satalite box and play it back to your HDTV. Sort of like making your own Direct TV HiDef TIVO. My satallite provider is not direct tv or dish network and they do not currently have a Tivo type product so i want to try and build my own.

I have found analog solutions, but i am looking for a HiDef digital solution. The Haupauge HDTV Wonder type cards are no good for this because i want to use the Satalite box for the HiDef source material, not use a tuner card in my PC that can get Over the Air HiDef digital stations, and my Satallite box also has the OTA QAM tuner function already built into it. So if i can find the parts to make this work i would be getting a HiDef type Tivo solution that would record Satalite HiDef programing and OTA HiDef programing.

There is no (cheap) solution for capturing the satellite feed. There is apparently some way to do it with a 'modified' (read: hacked) DirectTV box, but it also requires an expensive (~$1K, I believe) digital capture board; try over at www.avsforum.com for more details. I'm not sure if this also supports DD5.1 capture, or if you only get stereo sound from a normal audio card with it. I also don't know of any tivo-like software that will work directly with this board, as it's not a standard consumer-level video capture card.

Basically, content providers have gone out of their way to make it difficult/impossible to capture anything but unencrypted OTA HD signals. It would be very easy to make a CableCard-compliant HD digital cable tuner for a PC, but the cable companies would never license it. HD Firewire capture from compatible cable boxes already works -- but nobody will be allowed to write a software package that can read copy-protected programs (for obvious reasons). Even OTA signals will start carrying a 'broadcast flag' that will tell digital tuners not to record things the content providers don't want to be recordable.
