Any HID experts here?

I'm thinking of buying some aftermarket HIDs for my car and seem to be getting conflicting answers.

I thought 6000K HIDs throw out a blueish light while higher K HIDs look more purpleish but I read somewhere that wasn't true.

I'm looking to get HIDs that are whiteish with a tinge of blue but am not sure what K model to get.

Anyone have any ideas or websites you can direct me to?

I don't know about authentic HID lamps... maybe that's why you get 8000K. I bought mine from ebay (4500K) for about $15 and it works just the same for me... nice bright white with a small tint of blue. No problems so far... they're just lights in my opinion... been good for over a year thus far.
